Ike Bannors is a private person, earning his pay by designing specialized computer algorithms for a government R&D center on the outskirts of the city. Having reached a point in his solitary life where everything seems to be defined by repetition and routine, he struggles to see the purpose of his job, the world, even his own ordinary existence.

That is until one night, when an old coworker offers him a promotion.

Longing for something greater, Ike accepts the offer and finds himself introduced to the bizarre and fascinating world of fringe science--and after being assigned to a project that was mysteriously closed nearly two decades ago, he is thrust into an epic, otherworldly adventure that takes him far from home and far from the ordinary.

Author Bio

Warren Reed

Born on the East Coast in Portland, Maine, Warren has been telling stories his entire life. Starting at a young age, he wrote, drew comics, and made movies with friends and family. After studying film, photography, and media production in college, he spent several years working in broadcasting during which time he also freelanced as a graphic artist, photographer, and filmmaker.

Then he returned to writing.

On March 1st, 2014, Warren released his debut novel, DARKRIFT: Arrival on Amazon Kindle. DARKRIFT: Arrival is a YA/teen science fiction novel which Warren hopes will not only fill a void that he experienced as a young reader, but also offer young readers a fun, engaging alternative to movies, television, and video games.

Warren resides in his home state with his wife. When not fiddling in his workshop or riding his motorcycles, he can be found hidden away in his office, typing away at his latest story.
