NEW OPTION: Promote your book on The Masquerade Crew for just $2 a week
By tweeting this post, you can earn promotional tweets from me as part of the Amazon Tweet Exchange.

I pride myself at our promotions being super inexpensive but delivering value for your buck, so it should come as no surprise that I've been wanting to do a super cheap, super simple book promotion program for quite some time. The last time I blogged about this, I was a little too ambitious, wanting to do a daily deal.
That was going to be a scheduling nightmare, so this time around, I'm going to do it slightly different. First, I'm going to limit the participating books to only 99¢. Second, there will only be one post a week. (I'll happily post more if this idea grows)
The listing will be posted on Sunday of the given week. The listing will not be complicated. It will simply be a list of book covers, organized by major genre. All covers will link to Amazon.com, of course.
I will let readers know if a book's 99¢ sale doesn't start until later in the week.
However, I will not let readers know
if a sale ends during that week.
There will be a disclaimer at the top saying, "Prices are subject to change without notice. Be aware of this before buying." Or something to that effect.
In order to give me enough time to promote this idea, the first listing will not go up until September 7th.
How much is a listing?
Two dollars (per listing)
That means you are more than welcome to purchase more than one listing. Right now we are not going to offer a discount on multiple listings.
Promotion Details
Besides the normal amount of promotion a post gets, I will push the post a little extra on Twitter, but the main source of promotion will be an email to the more than 700 book club subscribers. And it grows every day.
Read the following carefully ... please
Fill out the form for each listing you will be a part of, meaning you may have to fill it out multiple times. I will not check to make sure you are getting all the listings you have paid for—not for $2 anyway. You can be responsible for that. I will not tell you if you have filled out a form (don't email me about that), so I suggest you do it as soon as you pay. Not before, since I ask you for a PayPal transaction ID.
PayPal has never failed me, so if you have a transaction ID, we got paid. 100% of the time. No need to ask if we got the money. Also, I do not email you to confirm we got the money, and especially NOT for a $2 payment.
And as far as I know, Google has never failed me as well. The few times people have had trouble filling out a form, it's because they are on a tablet or smartphone. Not sure what the problem is, so I would recommend filling out the form on a laptop or desktop.
Of course, you are more than welcome to email me. Just realize how many emails I get and how long checking something for you takes ... if everyone does it.
If you have paid and tried to fill out the form, and you think there was an ACTUAL problem, please email me in this case. However, I may ignore an email from an author who is "just checking."

If you do not see a form at the bottom of this post, you most likely have an Ad Blocker turned on. Turn it off or pause it and refresh the page.
ASIN - How to find it
Your book's ASIN, Amazon's unique code, can be found under the Product Details section of your book's Amazon page. Double click that and put it in the form. Easy peasy.
What's your secret word?
Because we may very well have tons of payments and covers to process, we are going to try something new. The PayPal transaction ID is good to prove that you've paid, but it is cumbersome to use as a method to match up form records with PayPal records, so let's do something a little fun.
Both the PayPal form and the Google form ask for a secret word. These two words should be the same, obviously. Don't pick something super wild that we'll have a hard time reading/recognizing on sight, but also don't pick something so bland and generic that multiple people may pick the same one, such as a genre, or the words book, ebook, or Kindle ... etc....
Make it something personal or unique to you or your book: a character's first name, a unique word from the title of the book, your last name or first name (if it's more rare than Smith or John).
Also, if you pay for multiple listings, please pick a different secret word each time. Having multiple listings with the same secret word will only slow us down ... so it will not be appreciated.
By doing this for us, we won't have to log into PayPal to process payments. We'll be able to do it straight from the form and our email. (PayPal sends us an email for each payment)
