Shoeless Cinderella and the Paparazzi

Written by Julie Ann Thomason

Genre: Modern Fairy Tale, Romance

Shoeless Cinderella and the Paparazzi is a contemporary, tongue-in-cheek fairy tale about a princess who prefers Botox and social media to having a fairy godmother.

Modern mishaps abound; will the princess find happiness and succeed in finding her handsome prince, without the help of age-old wisdom and magic? Or perhaps find something quite unexpected.

Creating this story was inspired by the work of Doctor Bruno Bettelheim, whose research into fairy tales lead him to firmly believe in the power of stories to help and to heal. Before screens, before books, stories were told by the storyteller; whose audiences, knew that fairy stories are for everybody not only children, and who loved a good story.

Delightful, engaging and surprising!

A beautifully delivered story from the voice of an author who understands contemporary pressures and the need to find and follow one's own heart with the support of loved ones.

Great story!

What I liked about the story is it revisited story's of the past while focusing on modern day. The use of modern day technology in the story was interesting, and I never would have guessed the ending.
