The Romance Scavenger Hunt is having a small effect on Amazon. Have you played?




Welcome to the Romance Scavenger Hunt.

Most of the participants in the Cover Wars/Scavenger Hunt campaign also paid to have a promoted blog post highlighting their book. While I was working on today's promoted book (check out the post here), I was pleasantly surprised to stumble across proof that this scavenger hunt is working on a level I hadn't expected.


It's hard to see, but if you click on the above picture to view it at its original size, you'll see that all of the books in the "Customers Who Viewed This Item Also Viewed" section are scavenger hunt books.

What does that mean?

It means that the people playing the scavenger hunt are having an effect on Amazon's algorithms. There are enough people viewing these books that it tripped the algorithm.

Does this mean that all of these books will see an increase in sales?

Not necessarily, but people who come across this particular book will see the other books in the hunt. It's tangible proof that cross promotion does have an advantage. So, thank you for supporting these authors. I hope you continue to do so.

Though answering each of the questions is not required, I encourage you to play the entire hunt so that you can earn the greatest amount of chances as possible. Also, I will be adding entry options one more time this month (probably in the next day or so), so come back and support these authors some more.
