This is a deep and dark book. I love the story line. It was hard for me to get into it at first.. but then when i got into it i got into it head on! I couldn't put this book down. I believe that LInday Anne Kendal is so talented and a deep writer. She does what many don't. She actually gets into a back story.. while keeping the book moving.
Everything about this and the book that follows screams MOVIE!!! I wish someone other then my head would bring all this to life on the screen! You would love this book and the second one as well. I am waitting for the thrid to come out and to be sucked into the mix all over again!

Lindsay Anne Kendal did a fantastic job on this novel, and that took a lot for me to say, since I don't normally read this particular genre.
The plot line is extremely intriguing and contains a quite unique take on the hidden history of the Salem witch trials and the resulting generational impact that the actions of those individuals originally involved had on their subsequent "Bloodlines."
The main characters are immediately likable and the friendships that developed will make for interesting ties in the next books. The action is exciting and keeps your attention, yet it is written so well that the "gore" factor is not necessary, therefore, it is a perfect mixture for the target audience.
Although I originally read this book to determine if it was appropriate reading material for my 13 year old daughter (which it is! - guess what she is getting for Christmas?) I am hooked on the storyline now, and will definitely purchase Torment soon, and Revelations when it is finished.

I never knew what I wanted to do with my life until I began writing. This is my dream. I get most of my inspiration from music, I’ll sit there listening to it and suddenly I’m no longer in the room. My stories play like videos in my mind, then I go and write them down.
I'm a very dark person, I love anything spooky, supernatural, or unexplainable, and so that’s the genre I want to write in for the rest of my life.
I work as a freelance graphic artist. I help my own publisher from time to time (World Castle Publications), I'm down as an available illustrator for Crooked Cat Publishing, and have recently been working with Empire Voices, creating the paperback and audio covers for their "Classics" line. I also create promo art and even book trailers.
Scary films are a true love of mine, although I find it very hard to find one these days that actually frighten me. My favourite story of all time is Bram Stoker's, Dracula. The movie is equally as amazing.
