I'll tweet about your book on Amazon if you tweet about us.
Back in January, I blogged about the Amazon Tweet Exchange. The deal was simple: tweet about one of the books we have either reviewed or paid to promote (listed on the post), and I would tweet about your book on Amazon.
Naive as I was, I didn't realize I would get so many responses. I'm ready to try again, but this time a little differently.
First, let me make this clear: it may take me a while to fulfill these. My paying clients come first, and sometimes my personal life prevents me from working on more than just the bare minimum.
Second, although I compose tweets for clients all the time, I didn't realize how much work it would be to write one or two tweets per book. Which explains another reason why it took so long.
Because of that, I want you to supply the wording of your tweet. I'm simply going to take the data you give me and compose a quick tweet out of it.
That means there's going to be a little thinking on your part. My instructions below are pretty clear I think, but if you don't follow these instructions to the letter, I most likely won't tweet for you.
Why am I being tougher this time?
Simple: all you have to do is click a Tweet Button and fill out a form. The least you can do is make my job easier. Besides, my social reach is a lot further than yours (most likely), meaning my tweet for you will reach more people than your tweet for me.
Read the following carefully
It's easy once you understand what you're doing.
- Send out one of the available tweets. (Simply click a button)
- Fill out the form
- URL of your tweet for me. (for me to verify that you did it)
- Click the time a tweet was posted to bring up it's individual page. See the image below.
- The text you want me to use in my tweet for you.
- I will not be checking to see if a tweet is too long, so be sure to watch your length—shorter is better.
- This text is where you would put any hashtags as well as the title of the book if you wish.
- Your Twitter Handle will be placed after the Amazon link if you provide it there, so I wouldn't recommend putting your name in the text area due to space concerns. However, if you do put your twitter handle in the text area as I have done with some of the tweets below, don't include your handle after the Amazon ASIN (item 4).
- No need to put a space at the end. In fact, I would prefer you not to.
- Amazon ASIN — EXTREMELY IMPORTANT
- NOT the entire URL. If you send me the entire URL, I will not tweet for you.
- What I'm looking for looks something like this: B00F5K4XZS
- You can find it in the URL of an Amazon page.
- Ex: http://www.amazon.com/Forbidden-Future-Time-Travel-Anthology-ebook/dp/B00F5K4XZS/... (do you see it in the URL?)
- Twitter Handle (don't forget the @)
- Repeat if desired. Remember to use different text for additional tweets.
Here's an example of what a form submission should look like.
- What becomes of mankind in the future?
- B00F5K4XZS
- @MasqCrew
And here is the tweet that results. (Except my tweet for will include a shortened link)
Here are the tweets you can send out.

If this works, I'll provide more tweet options later. The more you support us, the more I'll support you. And since I'm making you jump through a few hoops, here's my olive branch: for each tweet, I'll send out your tweet 5 times, once to each of our 5 main accounts (MasqCrew, PromoMasq, MasqRev, IndBk, and IndTwt).
Once you have tweeted, fill out the following form. Do it each time you send out a tweet.
