The Godmother's Review

Decades of Decisions

This is a not so cozy mystery.

In the early 1980s, J. Dub had a chance at the Pro Golf Tour until a faulty decision led to a poor shot. As life would have it, he was given a chance to not only run a golf course but to be a junior partner. Lewferd E. Zerrmann aka Lew was persuasive enough that J Dub bought into it and managed the day to day operation for nearly fifteen years.

Despite their ongoing conflicts, J Dub felt he was on the right path for his family's future. When those dreams are threatened, J Dub has a decision to make, fight for what is right or give in to the bully that he discovered Lew really was. Discover how he felt, the decision he makes, and the eventual result.

Each author has a way of presenting their stories, Mr. Ross presented all the vantage points, the good guys, the not so good guys, and the law enforcement that got in the middle, not to mention those who fought to right what was once put wrong. This story spans over two decades.

While some may not appreciate the somewhat repetitive nature, it sometimes reminded the reader, which character was which and their role in the overall outcome. Sometimes a reader has to sleep before they read more and those characters may have slipped the reader's mind. When you are presented with a couple decades of decisions, sometimes you need a little help.

Warning: This book is for Mature Audiences due to adult language, violence, and sexual situations that border on explicit.
