Codi Gary's back with another installment in her fan-favorite Rock Canyon series.

Callie Jacobsen isn't about to open her heart to just anyone. Not so very long ago, trusting someone changed her life forever—and not in a fun way. Now she's better off focusing on her career, her friends, and her dog. So when former Marine Everett Silverton takes an interest in her, Callie's more than a little wary. No matter how charming he is, men are a bad idea. In fact, she's got the scars to prove it.

But Everett isn't convinced Callie should shut everyone out—especially not him. He may be a hero to the people of Rock Canyon, but he's got his own demons, and he bets they're not that different from Callie's. Still, he knows it's going to take more than chemistry to get her to let her guard down. Everett will do whatever it takes to show her she's safe with him. All she has to do is take a chance, take a step … and take his hand.

Here's what

Fans are saying

about the 3rd book in the series

Bad Girls Don't Marry Marines is the third book out in the Rock Canyon Series by Codi Gary. I love this fun sexy series and can never get enough of their antics. Codi Gary writes a story that is both emotional and fun all at the same time.

I had so much fun reading this book. Although the issues in the book were heartbreaking and emotional, the characters were so much fun and so well written I couldn't put it down. I have never read a book by Codi I didn't love but I think this one might be my absolute favorite so far.

The story was great, the characters well developed and the sex was HOT! Codi Gary's Rock Canyon series is definitely one I would recommend to anyone (although this can easily be read as a standalone too.)

The title of this book drew me in, I love a good military love story. There's nothing sexier than a man in uniform, but this book was so much more. It's about 2 people who have a past and are given the chance for a future. I love the chemistry between these two. Justin is just adorable, the perfect man. Val is sassy and won't put up with much. They just seemed like someone I could meet on the street.

I loved watching these two develop into an amazing couple. They both deserve their HEA. Their story just warmed my heart.

I haven't read any of the other books in this series, but I will be getting them now. I look forward to reading more by this author.

Author Bio

Codi Gary

Since I was eleven years old, I've know I wanted to write books, but it wasn't until I picked up my first romance (an alien abduction slave and master book) that I knew what I wanted to write.

Although I got side tracked with school, working as a Veterinary Technician, and eventually having my two beautiful babies, when we moved to Idaho in the dead of winter, with one car and all the books on my shelves read a dozen times, I finally sat down and started writing my first book. It was terrible, as most first novels are, and it will never see the light of day.

But then, I saw a posting on Avon Romance's Facebook page; an open call for Valentine's Day novellas. I never expected to have The Trouble it Sexy pulled from the slush pile, or dared hope for the eight other books and one novella that would follow it.

But now, I get to live in my special world where even when life get's hard and the chips are down, anything can be overcome with humor, good friends and family, and a happily ever after. Because, let's face it, life isn't always like it is in books. That is why the world of romance is so important.

Every book, every HEA, and every hero an author makes you sigh over, can help relieve your stress and worry, at least for a little while. It's why I read amazing authors, from YA to Historical, Indie or Traditionally published, I love them all.

When I'm not writing, I love to kick back with my kids and take a nap or watch a movie, catch up on my must watch shows, knit a scarf, or read one of my favorite authors. I have been in love with animals since my first tuxedo Manx at three years old, and have a special fondness for Calicos (even the ornery ones). Even though I am more of a cat person, I adore our family dogs, and adopted a very spoiled PUG named Bella, who has become my shadow (or growth, as my husband likes to call her.) You'll find my animals get to make cameos in my books, and I believe that all fur babies need to be rescued. Oh, and I watch adorable animal videos when I'm sad.
