Walki's Review
Each tale captivating...
In this well written anthology, the readers will find criminal pixies, intergalactic conspiracies, Schnapps, spaceships, time travel, murders, zombies, magic, and Victorian hysteria. Stories will sound like hard-boiled detectives, curses, myths, traditions, old word, revolutions, satires, and much more, sometimes in unexpected places. In most of them, the authors will make the readers run.
I enjoyed the snow present in most stories. Each tale captivated me in their own way, but two stood out more to my attention. From G. Clemans’s ‘Escape from Yorktown’ I’ll retain the indigo thread weaving throughout. From Raven Oak’s ‘The Ringers’ I’ll keep the return of hope when a girl gifted for magic vows to save a town.
Pick up ‘Joy to the Worlds’ for this winter holiday, settle yourself in a comfy armchair with a hot chocolate at hand, and let go of reality. The twists and turns will leave you gasping for breath and looking forward to the next cliffhanger.
