This book just cost me a weekend. Instead of a million things I *should* be doing, I couldn't put down Nefertiti's Heart. The plot kept twisting in so many unexpected ways, but the element that made it such a page-turner was the unusual (okay -- HOT and unusual) relationship developing between the two main characters. In addition, the supporting characters were so well-rounded and entertaining I found myself hoping they would get their own starring roles in sequels. Anita Wexley has a gift for plot, but she has an absolute genius for character. I unreservedly recommend this completely satisfying read!



This is a fun romp through a Victorian-era London, with the steampunk technological twist. Likeable characters, an intriguing mystery, and a vividly described (and brought to life) world made this a 5 star for me.

Pick up this book. Make this author famous, if only so we can have more of her fantastic and fun work.



In this modern age of all-knowingness, it's hard to find an author that can so effortlessly & intriguingly draw you into an unknown world & keep you there! I really enjoyed the interesting mix of crime, intrigue, history & sex, with some innovative scenes for them all. Well done to the author & I can strongly recommend this for anyone that is looking for a different type of subject matter, which will undoubtedly keep you up reading throughout the night!
