The Godmother's Review

Doing what has to be done.

This a cross between police procedural and a mystery

Emily Stone and her partner Rick have faced many serial killers in the past. This time though they've met there match. In the opening, Emily is actively engaged in pursuing a suspect. What happens during and just after that, sets the stage for the rest of the book.

In some ways this story reminded me of the Lone Ranger and Tonto. They investigate the suspects and leave the arrests to the police. Maybe a little like Batman and Robin where they face the dangers head on and yes sometimes they get captured. I also believe Emily Stone is every bit the Strong Female Lead character. What she goes through would weaken even a tough man. She did what she had to do because that's how she was made and it needed to be done.

Warning: This book is for Mature Audiences due to sex, violence, and adult language.
