Saint Nick and the Fir Tree is a cute little short story for Christmas time, perfect for reading to the children, especially if you know some curious children who wonder what Santa does after Christmas. Told from the perspective of a tree, this story tells of one such time, when Santa comes to visit to escape the snow on the day after Christmas.

All sorts of adventures happen in the short story as the tree accompanies Santa across town thanks to Santa’s magic. The fact that it is told from the perspective of a tree provides a new side to Christmas stories. After all there are a lot of Christmas stories that come out around this time, but this one comes from a fresh perspective.

If you don’t have time to read it this year, definitely look into reading this story for next year. It’s got bedtime story written all over it.
